Nexutech notes the passing of its Vice President, Robert McKisson

November 11, 2013

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Robert (Bob) McKisson, who died Saturday November 9, 2013 after a valiant struggle against skin cancer.

Bob was here with us from the beginning, to offer us encouragement and his steady hand.

A retired naval aviator, Bob approached life in a spirited and yet pragmatic way. He was passionate about business, and reveled in the creation and nurturing of new ventures.

He was a beloved and trusted mentor to many young companies. Bob was dependably cheerful and optimistic, and truly sought to bring out the best in everyone he came in contact with.

Bob served as President of the AUVSI Hampton Roads Chapter and he was active in the Hampton Roads Technology Cluster initiative.

He clearly loved the unmanned systems industry, but rather than the technology, the thing that -most- motivated Bob was people, and the relationship-building he felt drives successful business development.

As a result, Bob had countless friends in many places, who will all miss his friendship, wit and wisdom.

Fair winds and following seas, dear friend.
