Unmanned Systems and Robotics in Florida
Florida is very well postured to take advantage of the underway global revolution in unmanned systems, robotics and drones. With a robust aerospace industry and vibrant university research programs, Florida is in a position to advance unmanned air, ground and maritime systems commercial development. Considering Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) alone, we need to capture our share of drone hardware sales rising from $283 million this year to nearly $4 billion in 2025.
John Lambert, an unmanned systems consultant and research associate at UCF's Institute for Simulation and Training, will share information on the UAS regulatory environment, automated automobile development, student education programs and opportunities to demonstrate these systems
